Pollok Academy, c1962, was demolished 1968. Pollok Church of Scotland is the light coloured building on the right. See OP book I
page 11 for a short history of both buildings. The playground shelter for pupils was within the arches in the ground floor of the
building. In the early days of the school, older children living some distance away came by pony and trap, which were stabled here.
